Ever have one of those days where your card just doesn't want to do what you want it to do? That was my day today. I got the image for the second round in the Sassy Studio Designs progressive relay. I had an idea in my head. But, no matter what I tried it just didn't want to play out. So, in the end, here is what I came up with.
For this round of the challenge we had to include bling. Her dress is glittery and there are a few rhinestones. Hopefully you can see it at this angle.
Originally, I was going to put card symbols (heart, diamonds, spades, clubs) down the right hand side and do kind of a Vegas type feel. Hynce my sentiment.
But, no matter what I tried nothing looked right. I tried stamping and adding glitter.....looked cheesy. I tried just stamping....didn't turn out right. Cutting out the symbols...nope. Stickers....the shades of red didn't match up. Plastic card symbol embellishments....didn't work. Card symbols in the center of flowers.....too busy looking. In the end I nixed the idea and left it as is. Don't get me wrong...I like how it turned out. But, sometimes when you have an idea in your head, it takes all day to realize it just wont work.
Here is a close up of my Samantha image.

Kyla, love how you have her sitting in the frame! I'm a sucker for that harlequin patterned paper too! And your sentiment is great; it works even without the uncooperative card suits! Wonderful creation! Thanks for joining us for Round 2 of our Sassy in the City relay! Your next image will be emailed to you after 10pm EDT on June 27th. :)
